The Fiji Islands
are north of New Zealand and
east of Australia. Fiji
is easily accessible from most parts of the world, with daily direct flights to
Fiji's International
Airport at Nadi from Los
Angeles (10 hours), Honolulu (6
hours), Sydney (4 hours), and Auckland (3 hours).
Fiji's
domestic airlines, Air Fiji and Pacific Sun, provide daily service to Taveuni's
Matei airport from Nadi and Suva,
Fiji's capital.
Flying time is between 60 and 90 minutes.
Inter-island ferries carry cargo, vehicles and passengers
between Taveuni and ports on the larger islands. Two small passenger ferries cross
the Somosomo Strait
to connect with a local bus to Savusavu on nearby Vanua
Levu.
Most resorts on Taveuni will arrange to meet you at the airport
or ferry dock upon arrival.

and Taveuni, go to the website of the Fiji Visitors Bureau .
